oh my life,
so lithe and lively,
glib and glorious,
I have found you
so convincing
from time to time,
and other times not so,
willing to let go.
What happens is
that yes
the sun does rise
and the snow does melt,
slide from bough
and scintillate,
whether I believe it
or no. So, too,
does night fall,
and sometimes I’m afraid
that’s all.
